CDK says it's brought a small group of car dealerships back online after massive weeklong outage

CDK Global announced that it has brought a small initial test group of car dealerships back online after a software outage that affected thousands of car sellers across North America. The company plans to phase in other dealers once the validation is complete. CDK is also working on restoring additional applications such as customer relationship management and service solutions. During the outage, dealerships had difficulty submitting their month-end financial reports, but CDK has created a resource center to support their sales and service efforts. The systems outage, caused by a cybersecurity incident, has affected nearly 15,000 car dealerships across North America since last Wednesday.
