Disney reverses course on bid to block wrongful death lawsuit by widower who had Disney+

Disney has changed its stance on a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the husband of a woman who died after eating at a resort restaurant. The company had previously argued that the husband’s Disney+ streaming service contract prevented him from suing for his wife’s alleged wrongful death. The husband claimed in the lawsuit that his wife had an allergic reaction to a meal at a park restaurant. Disney attempted to have the case dismissed by requesting arbitration. However, Disney has now waived its right to arbitration and allowed the lawsuit to proceed to court.
