Road trips this Fourth of July are expected to be affordable. The national average price of regular gas is projected to be $3.49 per gallon. This is almost the same as last year, and significantly lower than two years ago when oil prices spiked due to geopolitical events. Gas prices have dropped in many parts of the country, with Washington seeing a reduction of 71 cents per gallon compared to last year. Despite the drop in prices, demand for fuel is expected to be strong, with a record number of people predicted to be on the roads. However, analysts warn that the ongoing hurricane season could impact gas prices.
