Jonathan Majors Says He Was ‘Shocked' by Assault Conviction

Jonathan Majors, an ascending Hollywood star, expressed shock at his recent guilty verdict for assault and harassment against his girlfriend. In an interview, Majors described the episode as difficult and confusing. Last month, a Manhattan jury convicted Majors on misdemeanor charges for an altercation with his then-girlfriend in March. Marvel Studios subsequently severed ties with the actor, jeopardizing his acting career. Majors is scheduled for sentencing on February 6. During the trial, Majors disputed his girlfriend’s account of the altercation and denied knowledge of her injuries.
