The investigation revealed examples of physical abuse, wage withholding, deceptive recruitment practices, illegal recruitment fees, law-breaking regarding overtime hours, and discrimination. The company, Noon, is a prominent sponsor of both Newcastle United and Manchester City. Several human rights charities and researchers have confirmed the allegations of forced labor within Noon’s supply chain. The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has stated that it is reviewing the allegations.
